PAINTINGS
Oil Painting is the medium I have the most intimate connection with. The depth and richness of color possibility is magical and allows me to most easily put what I'm seeing in my mind onto a support. This is what I was originally studying when I first attended Humboldt State many years ago. I am only getting back into the studio this semester as I was out of sequence when I returned to my studies. Unfortunately I lost almost all my work in the intervening years. The rose is sort of a warmup piece to get re-acquainted with the material and figure out my style again. There are bigger and brighter pieces in the works.
